Instructed by Oleg Soroko, “Procedural Characters” is a workshop that caters to developing procedural generated characters using Houdini FX. As per the art direction, the characters generated will be fully optimized, rigged and imported into a VR setting allowing multi-user interaction. The participants will thus be able to test and to interact with their own avatars. Oleg Soroko’s work focuses on parametric art and design influencing innovation in various sectors including a wide range of objects such as cars, clothing, furniture etc. Whilst some of Oleg’s renowned work is more conceptual and print-based, some employ novelty in different digital fabrication techniques be it through CNC machines or 3D printers.
